2026 GRANT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Thank you for your interest in learning more about the Mildred Miller Fort Foundation.
We have adopted the following policies and procedures to communicate our funding priorities to organizations interested in applying for a Foundation grant. Hopefully, these policies and procedures will answer your questions about our approach to grant making and what to expect during the grant request process.
Eligibility
Grants are made only to organizations that qualify as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Grants will not be made to individuals, private foundations, or for-profit organizations.
Guidelines
The Foundation is particularly interested in projects having broad community impact and support and gives priority to:
Capacity building grants that will help achieve significant and long-lasting community benefits.
Collaborative and complementary efforts among organizations that serve similar purposes and populations.
Organizations that attract funding from a broad range of supporters.
The Foundation will normally fund 15 - 20 grants annually as part of its major grants program. These grants typically range between $30,000 and $500,000, and the median grant i is $100,000.
Deadlines
The quarterly submission deadlines are: January 7, April 7, July 7, and October 7.
